How many guests can the Oar House accommodate? We offer weddings for as little as two people and as many as 150 people.
What is your rainy day backup plan? We have a covered deck off the side that can be utilized as a ceremony location if needed. We also have a tent available to rent if you still want the ceremony to take place beside the river.
How big is the bridal suite? Can we all get hair and makeup finished on site? The bridal suite is a small room that has enough room to sit with your bridesmaids and also put on your dress. It is not recommended that you plan to do hair and makeup there. There are not adequate electrical outlets or space for that.
How early can we arrive to the Oar House the day of the wedding? 10:00am; You may arrive earlier for an extra charge of $150 per hour.
Do we need to clean up after the event? Yes! We asked that you remove your belongings, remove all trash and clean if there is any excessive spills or messes. We do offer a clean up service for $150.
How late can we party? Midnight.
Can we bring our own caterer? Yes. You are allowed to choose your own caterer and bring your own food. No cooking of food or prepping of food is allowed in kitchen. All food must arrived cooked and ready to serve.
How does alcohol work? We allow beer and wine only. You provide all alcohol and bring it to be unloaded that day. We provide the bartenders. One bartender per 75 guests is required and it is $150 for each bartender.
We are in love with the property and ready to book! How do we secure our date? A $1000 deposit and contract secures your date. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the wedding day.
How do the payments work? You may pay by personal check or credit card. You may use a credit card through Square and client is expected to pay the credit card fees. The fee is 3.5% of the transaction amount. All payments are non refundable once received.
Is there lodging close? Yes, we have a lodge next door that is available to rent. You can reserve through Air BnB here.
Are table linens included? No.
Is there an attendant or coordinator on site? You can book a day of coordinator through us for $400.
